Who we are
Walkup Pro is an iOS app that helps baseball teams manage walkup songs, announcer audio, and batting-order lineups. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Team & player data you create: names, jersey numbers, positions, photos, song selections, and announcer recordings you save in the app.
- Anonymous usage analytics: app launches, screen views, and feature interactions via PostHog and TelemetryDeck.
- Crash reports: stack traces and device info via Sentry when something goes wrong.
- Purchase information: StoreKit transaction receipts for subscription and credit-pack validation. Apple handles payment. We never see your card.
- Optional email: if you send feedback through the app and explicitly choose to include your email for a reply.
Where your data lives
- On your device — all teams, players, songs, and recordings are stored locally in SwiftData.
- In your iCloud account — optionally synced across devices you're signed into with the same Apple ID via CloudKit. Apple encrypts this data; we cannot read it.
- On our servers — AI announcement audio generated via our backend is temporarily processed on a server we operate. We don't retain it longer than necessary to deliver it to your device.
Third parties
Walkup Pro connects to the following services on your behalf:
- Apple Music — to search and preview songs you pick as walkups.
- Apple iCloud — for optional cross-device sync.
- PostHog, Sentry, TelemetryDeck — anonymous analytics, crash reporting, and surveys.
- OpenAI — to generate AI announcer audio when you choose that feature.
- Apple App Store / StoreKit — for subscriptions and in-app purchases.
Your rights
- Delete your account data at any time from Settings → Data Management.
- Export your data as a single
.walkupfile. - Disable iCloud sync on your device.
- Opt out of analytics by enabling Limit Ad Tracking in iOS Settings.
