Walk-up song start times
Every walk-up song database tells you what a player walks up to. None of them tell you the part you actually need at the field: the second to start the clip, how long to run it, and whether the lyrics are safe. That is this page.
The cue sheet
Start where the timestamp says, run it for the listed number of seconds, stop. Every window was picked so the clip lands on the hook and ends on a beat rather than fading out mid-bar.

What coaches ask
How long should a walk-up song be?
Across the 50 songs we have timed by hand, the median cue runs 20 seconds, the shortest is 16 and the longest is 25. The window is bounded at both ends by the walk itself. Too short and the clip dies before the batter is set in the box, too long and whoever is running the speaker has to cut it off mid-phrase, which is the thing that makes a walkup sound amateur. Landing the end of the clip on a beat matters more than hitting an exact number of seconds.
Where in the song should a walk-up clip start?
43 of our 50 timed songs start at 0:00, which is 86% of them. That is not laziness, it is selection: a song earns its place as a walkup precisely because it opens on its hook. The exceptions are songs whose recognisable moment is buried behind an intro, and for those the timestamp matters enormously.
Do I need the clean version of a walk-up song?
There are three answers, not two. 36 of these songs are clean as recorded, so any version works. 7 have explicit lyrics with a clean radio edit available, and you need to pick that edit deliberately because streaming services default to the explicit one. 7 are explicit songs where the recommended trim window itself contains no explicit language, which is fine for a short walkup but a risk if the clip ever runs long.
